Dáil Éireann Debate, Tuesday - 13 January 2026
2593. Deputy Shane Moynihan asked the Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science if he will provide a breakdown of funding allocated to ETB soccer courses over the past five years; and the future plans for sports-related education and training programmes. [74970/25]
View answerMy Department and SOLAS do not hold this level of detail on specific soccer courses provided by individual Education and Training Boards (ETB). Each ETB is responsible for planning and delivering its services and training programmes in line with its allocated budget and the needs of its local community, as set out under the Education and Training Boards Act 2013. As Minister, I have no role in these operational matters.
