My Department administers more than 140 separate schemes and services, which affect the lives of almost every person in the State. We are committed to ensuring that members of the public are fully aware of the welfare supports and services available, and that key changes are communicated to them. Public information campaigns, including advertising on digital and social media platforms, are an important part of this work.

The Department of Social Protection did not place paid advertisements on X in 2024 or in 2025, and it had nil expenditure on verification or premium accounts on the platform in those years. Of the bodies under the aegis of the Department, none placed paid advertisements on X in 2024 or in 2025. All bodies had nil expenditure on verification or premium accounts on the platform in those years.
