The information requested by the Deputy is being collated by my Department and will be forwarded to the Deputy as soon as possible.

The following deferred reply was received under Standing Orders.
My Department has invested significantly in additional resources including staff (forestry inspectors, ecologists, archaeologists, engineers and administrative staff) and new systems and processes which have improved forestry licensing processing capacity.
My Department is now processing the majority of applications within the Farmers Charter timelines and in less than 6 months, with progress monitored on a daily and weekly basis.
The tables below show a summary of valid forestry licence applications submitted, pending and approved (afforestation, roads, and felling - Coillte and private) for each year requested.
