Deputy Paul Nicholas Gogarty asked the Minister for Health the circumstances in which a person’s next-of-kin would need to be consulted in relation to palliative sedation/midazolam in cases in which the person is at the hospital, clinic or nursing home; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
