Membership to the Single Public Service Pension Scheme is determined by assessing the eligibility of employees against the provisions of the Public Service Pensions (Single Scheme and Other Provisions) Act 2012. There are no exclusions for eligible staff within our agencies.I would note, however, that due to the particular status of Pobal they have their own pension arrangements, and none of the 799 staff within that organisation are eligible to become members of the Single Pension Scheme. Similarly, due to their status as north-south implementation bodies, both Foras na Gaeilge (68 staff) and the Ulster Scots Agency (16 staff) have north-south pension scheme arrangements, and their staff are also not eligible to become members of the Single Pension Scheme.
