The Defence Forces facility in Killorglin is currently used by the Defence Forces for military exercises, tactical training as well as Aid to Civil Power and Civil Authority activities in the area. Despite this, the Department and the Defence Forces remain open to the possibility of letting other state agencies and community groups use the premises, so long as it does not disrupt military activities.

My officials have previously tried to make contact with the Killorglin Pipe Band with no response received to date. Should a representative from the Killorglin Pipe band wish to make contact with the Estate Management team to discuss their request, they can be emailed directly at estatemanagement1brigade@defence.ie.
