Under the Arts Act 2003, the allocation of this form of grant funding is an operational matter for the Arts Council. I have asked the Arts Council to make direct contact with the Deputy in regard to the support model and funding they provide for theatre companies as set out in the Deputy's question. Please contact my private office if you do not hear from the Arts Council within the next ten working days.

Separately, Culture Ireland operates to support professional Irish artists in presenting and promoting their work to audiences around the world. It provides funding to professional Irish artists and arts organisations, including theatre companies, to present work at key international venues and events within their field, with grants primarily assisting with travel and travel-related costs.
