The ‘Revised Estimates for Public Services 2026’ is prepared by the Department of Public Expenditure Infrastructure Public Service Reform and Digitalisation.

The ‘Sectoral Economic Investment’ for the Fisheries Sector section of that document includes a number of areas which are outside the remit of my Department such as the Maritime Area Regulatory Authority, Marine Research & Development, Maritime Safety & Regulations and Inland Fisheries Development and Tourism Angling.

Therefore I am not in a position to comment on the comparison with the 2025 estimates.
