I can confirm that officials in my Department have not used artificial intelligence to write speeches, produce social media content or to issue responses to parliamentary questions.

In line with the National AI Strategy and the Guidelines for the Responsible use of Artificial Intelligence in the Public Service, my Department is actively exploring a range of opportunities to leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) for business purposes.

As part of ongoing innovation and digital transformation efforts, my Department has established an AI Working Group. This group is responsible for exploring the strategic use of artificial intelligence across departmental functions, identifying opportunities for the use of AI, staff upskilling and ensuring ethical AI practices.
