My Department publishes comprehensive programme-level statistics on a quarterly basis on social and affordable housing delivery activity by local authorities and Approved Housing Bodies (AHBs) in each local authority, including Waterford. This data is available to the end of Q3 2025 and is published on the statistics page of my Department’s website (www.gov.ie/en/collection/6060e-overall-social-housing-provision/).

From Q1 to Q3 2025, 275 social housing solutions were delivered in Waterford, which includes 58 new build social homes. In regards to affordable housing, 135 units were delivered in Waterford from Q1 to Q3 2025. It should be noted that a large portion of the housing delivery across the country usually occurs in Q4 each year so the full picture of housing delivery will become clearer once the Q4 2025 statistics are published. The Q4 2025 statistics are currently being collated and verified and will be published in due course, following the usual timeline of Q4 publications. The Q4 2024 statistics were published in April 2025.
