Deputy Mairéad Farrell asked the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage if he will consider introducing a Bill for Lough Corrib SAC, which mirrors the intentions of the proposed 2023 Private Members’ River Boyne Task Force Bill 2023; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I do not intend to introduce any further legislation in respect of this Natura site. The site referred to by the Deputy is already protected as a Special Area of Conservation (SAC) under the European Union Habitats (Lough Corrib Special Area of Conservation 000297) Regulations 2022.
