Written answers

The remuneration of Secretaries General and Deputy Secretaries General is determined in accordance with the approved civil service pay scales for these grades.

In my Department, the Secretary General is on the Secretary General Level II Civil Service pay scale which has one point only, while the Deputy Secretary General is on the Deputy Secretary pay scale which also has one point only.

Any plans for revisions to current remuneration arrangements would be the responsibility of the Department of Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation.
