The CLÁR programme provides funding under a number of different measures for small-scale infrastructural projects in designated rural areas. Last year I approved €14m million for 238 projects under the scheme, with funding being provided for community facilities and amenities, community vehicles and specific support for island communities.

The measures for inclusion in the scheme are reviewed and revised each year. The measures to be included in the 2026 CLÁR scheme are currently under review and I expect to launch the 2026 scheme in the coming weeks. Details in respect of the activities that will be eligible for funding will be confirmed at that stage.
