Deputy Pádraig Rice asked the Minister for Health the current reimbursement arrangements in place for GLP-1 medications; to identify the products currently available under each scheme and the criteria for access; if there are plans to expand access; if further products are undergoing pricing and reimbursement assessment; if so, the status of that work; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Under the Health (Pricing and Supply of Medical Goods) Act 2013, the HSE has statutory responsibility for decisions on the pricing and reimbursement of medicines and medical devices; therefore, the matter has been referred to the HSE for attention and direct reply to the Deputy.
