247. Deputy Malcolm Byrne asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade the number of staff directly responsible for cybersecurity, as distinct from IT, within her Department; if a threat analyst, vulnerability manager and a cyber infrastructure engineer are employed; if not in-house, if this work is outsourced; and if she will make a statement on the matter. My Department has a dedicated cybersecurity team lead by a Director of cybersecurity with overall responsibility for cybersecurity risk, threat analysis, vulnerability management and cybersecurity infrastructure.

For reasons of operational and national security it is not appropriate to disclose further details of my Department’s Cyber Security arrangements.
