Deputy Malcolm Byrne asked the Minister for Climate, Energy and the Environment the number of staff directly responsible for cybersecurity, as distinct from IT, within his Department; if a threat analyst, vulnerability manager and a cyber infrastructure engineer are employed; if not in-house, if this work is outsourced; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister for Climate, Energy and the Environment

My Department has a dedicated cybersecurity team with overall responsibility for cybersecurity risk, threat analysis, vulnerability management and cybersecurity infrastructure.

For operational and security reasons, it is not appropriate to disclose further details of my Department’s Cyber Security arrangements.
