486. Deputy Malcolm Byrne asked the Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment the extent to which his Department examines third party supply chain vulnerability when it comes to cybersecurity. [9447/26]
View answerMy Department implements a risk-based approach to the management of its third-party supply chain. Information security is addressed within procurement contracts with requirements based on the nature of the contract and the information being processed.
With the introduction of NIS2 and the forthcoming National Cyber Security Bill my Department is in the process of reviewing its existing third-party risk management processes to ensure it meets the new requirements within this legislation.
