Dáil Éireann Debate, Thursday - 12 February 2026
237. Deputy Peadar Tóibín asked the Minister for Defence if there is a canteen in her Department headquarters; and if the Minister can provide assurances that all meat sold or provided in that canteen is of Irish origin. [11178/26]
View answerI can confirm that a canteen operates in the Department of Defence Headquarters in Newbridge and provides catering services for all staff. The caterer has verified that all meat served is 100% Irish, and they make every effort to source meat products from local suppliers wherever possible. A sign is displayed in the canteen reflecting this position.
