Deputy Brian Brennan asked the Minister for Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation if his Department has completed any audit to assess public expenditure across rural areas to ensure a balanced approach to spending and fairness for rural towns and villages; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The lead Government Department for rural development is the Department of Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht and that Department would be best placed to assist the Deputy.
