651. Deputy Emer Currie asked the Minister for Education and Youth to provide pathways to enable mobility between the health and education sector to transition into special education posts; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [12286/26]

This government is fully committed to supporting children with special educational needs to fulfil their full potential and the Programme for Government makes a number of commitments to deliver on this objective.

Labour force mobility and providing educational routes for people to change professions is a process under the remit of the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science (DFHERIS).
