As the Deputy is aware the school was approved to enter the Department’s pipeline of school buildings under the Additional School Accommodation Scheme for a project to provide two classroom special educational needs (SEN) base and two special education tuition (SET) rooms. This project is devolved to the school authority for delivery.

My Department remains awaiting the revised Stage 1 (design) report. Once received, the report will undergo a comprehensive technical and cost review. All projects, including this one, are subject to the full due-diligence requirements set out in my Department’s infrastructure guidelines.

The accommodation needs at this school will also be considered as part of the ongoing overall department-led NDP prioritisation process, in consultation with the school’s patron and school authorities.
