The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) has overall responsibility for the enforcement of food law in Ireland, which is carried out on the ground by a range of other official agencies, acting under service contract to the FSAI. Therefore, as this is an operational matter, I have asked the FSAI to reply directly to the Deputy.
