1128. Deputy Marie Sherlock asked the Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science the State agencies within his Department that have made provision for the pension auto enrolment payment as part of their allocation to funded organisations; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science

The operation of Auto Enrolment is a matter for the Minister for Social Protection. It is administered by the National Automatic Enrolment Retirement Savings Authority (NAERSA). Responsibility for employer compliance with the scheme lies with NAERSA. Revenue is providing payroll data to NAERSA who will then use this in identification and enrollment of eligible employees.

With regards to the Bodies under the aegis of my Department, the information in respect of Higher Education Institutions within the scope of the Deputy’s question, is not held by my Department.

Higher Educations Institutions are autonomous bodies in respect of Human Resource matters and contact details for the pension areas of these bodies are set out at the following links, should the Deputy wish to contact the Institutions directly with their query.
