The Department of Enterprise, Tourism and Employment has administered the Emergency Humanitarian Flooding Scheme (EHFS) since 2018. The scheme is delivered by the Irish Red Cross and a table breaking down the funding by year is provided below.

Year

Funding

2019

€6,000

2020

€167,446

2021

€403,216

2022

€104,948

2023

€3,681,102

2024

€6,137,439

2025

€114,727

2026 (to date)

€42,406

Total

€10,657,284.00

It should be noted that the costs associated with a scheme may not necessarily be paid out in the same calendar year depending on when the flooding event occurred. The figures listed also include a fee to the Irish Red Cross for the administration of the Scheme and the cost of independent, professional building assessments that are done for second stage payments under the Scheme.
