As the Deputy may be aware, the Irish Environmental Network (IEN) is an umbrella group of non-government Irish environmental organisations, representing a broad range of environmental issues. The IEN supports the work of the organisations under its umbrella through the distribution of core funding and support.

The IEN has historically been supported through the provision of grant funding from the Department of Climate, Energy, and the Environment (DCEE). The members are all national environment non-governmental organisations that work to promote environmental sustainability, and I am informed that the Minister for Climate, Energy and the Environment makes a determination of the totality of this funding for the purpose of organisational support.

Any queries on funding matters should be directed towards DCEE  in the first instance.
