I can inform the Deputy that neither myself nor my predecessors have exercised the specific power conferred under Section 15(3) of the Climate Action & Low Carbon Development Act (2015), in respect of any agency under my Department’s aegis.

Climate action requirements contained in Ireland's Climate Action Plan prepared under the Climate Action and Low Carbon Development (Amendment) Act 2021 are addressed in the respective governance agreements in place with agencies under the aegis of my Department. These obligations are subject to review and are reported on as part of standing governance meetings, which typically take place twice yearly.
