View answerThe Garda Commissioner is responsible for the management and administration of An Garda Síochána under Section 33 of the Policing, Security and Community Safety Act 2024. This includes all decisions regarding deployment and allocation to specialist units.
I am advised by the Garda authorities that the table below sets out the number of public service vehicle inspectors assigned to each Garda division as of 21 December 2025, the most recent date that data is available.
