Deputy Ged Nash asked the Minister for Climate, Energy and the Environment to set out the policy in his Department regarding the use of artificial intelligence; whether AI is used or permitted in drawing up policy documents, speeches, answers to parliamentary questions, press releases or for other official documents; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister for Climate, Energy and the Environment

My Department continues to take advice from the National Cyber Security Centre in respect of the use of AI. My Department does not currently use AI but it is actively exploring the opportunities and policy considerations available.
