34. Deputy Paul Lawless asked the Minister for Social Protection the number of persons in County Mayo claiming carers allowance; and if that number has increased or decreased over the past five years. [15141/26]

The number of Carer's Allowance recipients in Mayo increased by 285 people between January 2021 and January 2026.

At the end of January 2026, there was a total of 3,241 recipients of Carer's Allowance in county Mayo. At the end of January 2021, there were 2,956 recipients of Carer's Allowance in county Mayo.
