As Minister for Transport, I have responsibility for policy and overall funding in relation to public transport in Ireland.

The property affairs of Córas Iompair Éireann (CIÉ) are matters for the CIÉ Board in accordance with the provisions of the Transport Acts 1950 and 1964.

Accordingly, I have forwarded the aspect of the Deputy's question in relation to inventory of lands and properties to CIÉ for direct reply. I have forwarded the aspect of the Deputy's question in relation to land management and biodiversity strategy to Iarnród Éireann for direct reply.

Please advise my private office if you do not receive a reply within ten working days.
