Questions (852)

Albert Dolan

Question:

852. Deputy Albert Dolan asked the Minister for Health to list all schemes, funding programmes, capital funds, grant streams or other expenditure headings administered by her Department in 2025 and 2026 which result in allocations, awards, or spending that can be identified with a specific geographical location including county, district, town, or project site, to group these by funding stream or programme heading; to indicate, for each scheme, whether details of allocations or awards are published online; and if so, where such information may be accessed. While the department is very happy to provide a response to the question posed we must advise the deputy that the Department does not directly administer any of the programmes it funds but instead disburses to organisations like the Health Service Executive, Pobal, Sláintecare Healthy Communities Seed Funding, Healthy Ireland fund etc. The Department of Health and Shared Island Fund have awarded funds to Cancer Fund for Children (CFFC) and the National Cancer Control Programme (NCCP) – an entity within the HSE we support and provide Departmental oversight for does have a number of Survivorship schemes, in particular the funding grants it administers and delivers to the members of the Alliance of Community Cancer Care Centres, that would probably fall under the description in the PQ as posed by the deputy.

We would kindly ask if the deputy wished to redefine his parliamentary question or direct it to the Health Service Executive or Pobal as they would be in a better position to satisfactorily answer the deputy’s question.
