My Department's Community Services Programme (CSP) currently supports 426 community-based organisations, with a budget of €59.4m in 2026, to provide local services through a social enterprise model.

The CSP Programme provides an annual co-funding contribution towards each full-time equivalent position being supported, and, where warranted, towards the cost of employing a manager.

Pobal, which administer the CSP Programme on behalf of this Department, undertook a review of the funding rate categorisations in 2025. This funding rate review involved a metric review of the organisations' level of disadvantage, the number of employees from CSP Employment Target Groups and the organisations' earning potential, based on their 2023 Annual Financial Statements. As a result of this, 55 organisations were moved to a higher rate of funding, with effect from 1st of January 2026.

All funding allocations for the CSP Programme from 2018 to 2025 are available on www.gov.ie at the following link: Community Services Programme - Funding Allocations.
