The Built Heritage Investment Scheme (BHIS) provide grants of between €2,500 and €50,000 for the conservation of historic structures, while larger grants of between €50,000 and €200,000 are made available under the Historic Structures Fund (HSF).

Where a structure meets the eligibility criteria of both schemes, an application under BHIS will not preclude a later application under the HSF for the same structure. However, only one grant may be availed of per structure in a given year.

Full details about eligibility for both schemes may be found on gov.ie at www.gov.ie/en/department-of-housing-local-government-and-heritage/services/built-heritage-investment-scheme-bhis/ and www.gov.ie/en/department-of-housing-local-government-and-heritage/services/historic-structures-fund/
