My Department has invested a total of €3,709,252 to date in the national Government digital wallet initiative.  The initiative is being delivered on a phased basis, with funding provided over multiple years to support its design, development, testing, and rollout.

The implementation leverages a suite of technical building blocks to ensure the efficient and effective use of public digital infrastructure, aligning with the EU’s ambition under the European Digital Identity Framework Regulation (eIDAS 2.0).
