455. Deputy Micheál Carrigy asked the Minister for Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation the number of civil servants and public servants the State employs for the past ten years, by year, in tabular form. [28242/26]

It has been reported to my Department that, as of end-December 2025, a total of 417,464 full-time equivalent employees were employed in the public service, of which 53,161 FTEs were employed in the Civil Service (which includes employees of the Irish Prison Service).
