The Department of Health has a Blended Working Policy in place, in line with the Civil Service Blended Working Policy and guidance issued by the Department of Public Expenditure, NDP Delivery and Reform. Under this policy, all grades, from Clerical Officer up to and including Secretary General, may avail of blended working arrangements of up to three days remote working and two days on-site attendance per week, subject to the operational requirements and business needs of the Department.

There is no discrepancy in the application of the blended working policy based on seniority. All requests for remote or flexible working arrangements are considered on a case-by-case basis, having regard to the nature of the role and the needs of the Department.
