Deputy John Clendennen asked the Minister for Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation the full list of Garda stations in County Offaly scheduled for upgrade, refurbishment or capital works in 2026; the nature and scope of works planned for each station; the budget allocated to each project; the current status of each project, including design, procurement or construction stage; and the expected timelines for delivery; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Office of Public Works (OPW) can confirm that upgrade, refurbishment or capital works are planned for 2026 at the below listed Garda Stations in County Offaly.

Garda Station	Nature of Works
Birr	Cell Upgrade
Clara	Universal Access
Ferbane	Installation of ramp, reconfiguration of day room and public counter
Kilcormac	Upgrade Day room toilets
Shinrone	Universal Access

In relation to Kilcormac, these works commenced in Q4, 2025, and are due to be completed in Q2, 2026. The project budget will be available following the completion of the works.

The commencement/completion dates for the remaining scheduled works are subject to the final sign off of operational and design requirements by An Garda Síochána and where necessary, successful tendering process. The above planned works are still at design stage, therefore costs and timeframes are unavailable.
