Deputy Cormac Devlin asked the Minister for Health if she will provide an update on the NCPE appraisal of ritlecitinib (litfulo) for severe alopecia areata, including current stage, any ongoing HSE pricing and reimbursement engagement with the applicant, expected timelines for a decision, and proposed prescribing setting if approved (details supplied); and if she will make a statement on the matter. Under the Health (Pricing and Supply of Medical Goods) Act 2013, the HSE has statutory responsibility for decisions on the pricing and reimbursement of medicines and medical devices; therefore, the matter has been referred to the HSE for attention and direct reply to the Deputy.
