Sepsis is a patient safety priority for Ireland and is the focus of the work of the HSE’s National Clinical Programme for Sepsis.

As previously outlined to the Deputy, the HSE has prepared an 'Action on Sepsis: Five Year Strategy 2026–2030' and associated implementation plan. My Officials are continuing to engage with the HSE on this matter and understand that the strategy is at the final stage of review and is expected to be published shortly.
