My Department has 8 agencies under its remit; the Charities Regulator, An Coimisineir Teanga, Foras na Gaeilge, Pobal, Údarás na Gaeltachta, the Ulster-Scots Agency, Water Safety Ireland, and the Western Development Commission.

These agencies are independent entities, responsible for managing their own corporate affairs. As such, each agency is responsible for the management and upkeep of premises in accordance with their individual lease agreement or as owners of their buildings, including energy efficiency measures. My Department is supportive of the agencies addressing climate action targets through energy efficiency measures, including use of solar panels, where possible, in buildings operated and owned by the agencies.
