I can advise the Deputy that, in accordance with agreed contractual terms and conditions, there is a no-fault 30-day termination clause which is available to both the provider and the Department.

The provider referenced by the Deputy has chosen to terminate their contract with the Department.

I can further advise that following the contract termination, all residents will be relocated from the property detailed by the Deputy by 29th April 2026.

My Department has sent updates through the accommodation provider to the residents who will be affected, to let them know that the contract is ending with that provider. Residents who wish to continue to receive state-funded accommodation have been provided with a placement at a new location.

Every effort has been made to keep residents as local as possible, however this is not always possible. It is also open to the people concerned to make their own arrangements if they wish to stay in their current area.
