Deputy Emer Currie asked the Minister for Health further to HSE's commitment on 17 October 2025, that the National Clinical Programme for Ophthalmology would consider the requirements and feasibility of implementing an audit; whether this work has commenced; the potential audit approaches being examined; when priority areas for further exploration and implementation will be determined; and the expected timeline for progressing such audits in the interest of patient safety.
