In response to the war in the Middle East, my Department has convened the Oil Security of Supply Group, which consists of relevant Government Departments and Agencies, in addition to Fuels for Ireland and oil companies. This Group meets on a weekly basis (with additional meetings as required). At the meeting of 29 April, industry confirmed that they had secured supply, including jet fuel, into June, which is the standard horizon.

Oil industry representatives have noted they are sourcing jet fuel from alternative sources given ongoing issues with the Strait of Hormuz. The issue referenced by the Deputy has not been raised within this Group.
