Deputy Peadar Tóibín asked the Minister for Climate, Energy and the Environment the number of protected disclosures that have gone missing or have been compromised that have been submitted to his Department or State bodies that are responsible to his Department.; and if he will make a statement on the matter. View answerI can assure the Deputy that all reports of wrongdoing submitted to my Department are formally processed in accordance with my Department’s Protected Disclosures Policy which aligns with the Protected Disclosures Act 2014 as amended. As per the requirements of this Act, my Department publishes annual protected disclosures reports and the 2025 report was published in March 2026. I can therefore confirm that the Department is not aware of any protected disclosure submitted to it that is missing or compromised as per the Deputy’s Question.
There are 11 State bodies under the aegis of my Department. The information sought in the Question is an operational matter for each of the State bodies concerned and, as such, it is not information held by my Department. It is suggested that the Deputy contact the Bodies directly in relation to this matter. Contact details for each body is set out in the attached document.
