499. Deputy Paul Lawless asked the Minister for Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation whether the Office of Public Works (OPW) has been requested to assess or assist with the repair and stabilisation of the Peace Park in Balla, County Mayo, given its historical, commemorative, and veterans' significance; and the role, if any, the OPW could play in supporting this project. The Office of Public Works has no role in relation to the repair and stabilisation of the Peace Park in Balla, County Mayo. I suggest that the local authority, Mayo County Council, or relevant local community groups may be better placed to assist.
