Dáil Éireann Debate, Tuesday - 12 May 2026
856. Deputy Seán Ó Fearghaíl asked the Minister for Justice, Home Affairs and Migration the number of Juvenile Liaison Officers attached to Kildare-Carlow Division as of 6 May 2026; if he will provide the same figures as of 31 December 2024, in tabular form; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [35213/26]
View answerI am informed by the Garda authorities that there are four Juvenile Liaison Officers (JLOs) assigned to the Kildare/Carlow Division as of March 2026, the latest date for which figures are available.
As Kildare/Carlow was established in 2025 as part of the Garda operating model a directly comparable historical breakdown is not available. However, as of 31 December 2024 there were three JLOs assigned to Kildare Division and two assigned to the Kilkenny/Carlow Division.
