While not falling within the remit of my Department, my officials have engaged with Fingal local authority on the matter raised by the Deputy. I have been advised that the facility in question is part of a Shared School Model.

I understand that the land on which the building is located is owned by the Department of Education and Youth and is leased to Fingal local authority on a twenty-five-year term with a right of way access arrangement and allocation of four marked car-parking spaces for exclusive use by the Community Centre during school hours.

Outside of school hours, parking across the site is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The allocation of additional spaces would be a matter for agreement between the Department of Education and Youth and Fingal local authority.
