I wish to advise the Deputy that, in 2017, the National Transport Authority (NTA) assumed responsibility as the regulator for vehicle clamping activities in statutory and non-statutory (privately-owned) clamping areas throughout the State. It is responsible for the regulation of clamping activities, administration of second-stage vehicle clamping appeals and the investigation of complaints.

In light of the NTA's role, I have forwarded the Deputy's question to the Authority for direct reply. Please advise my private office if you do not receive a response within ten working days.

A referred reply was forwarded to the Deputy under Standing Orders.
