My department has 2 additional staff under contract for purposes of Ireland’s presidency of the Council of the European Union. These temporary Presidency Policy Officer and Local Administrative Support Officers roles were recruited following a recruitment process led by the Permanent Representation of Ireland to the European Union in Brussels. Their contracts will cease at the end of the Presidency.
Department officers seconded to Brussels to support the Presidency will be redeployed to roles in my department at the end of the Presidency in January 2027.
