My Department ensures the effective delivery of Programme for Government commitments through strong governance and oversight arrangements. The Programme for Government has informed the development of the Department’s Statement of Strategy 2025–2028 and is embedded within annual business planning processes, supported by ongoing monitoring through structured performance reporting to the Secretary General and the Department’s Management Board.

In January 2026 my Department reported to the Department of An Taoiseach our progress on delivering approximately 110 commitments for which we have lead responsibility. Progress on Programme for Government commitments is also a standing agenda item at all Ministerial Management Board meetings in my Department, ensuring regular oversight and review at Ministerial level. Coordination and progress tracking are managed by the Department’s Management Support Unit.
